Plant & Transport Manager

Position: Transport & Plant Manager

A Dynamic and growing Groundwork’s company is seeking a qualified Transport Manager to also take on Plant and Equipment hiring and monitoring, for an immediate start.

Location: Based from our head office in Iver, Buckinghamshire

Experience / Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be:

  • Hold a CPC transport Managers qualification

  • Experience / knowledge of transport and logistics

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft applications such as word and excel

  • Keen to learn new skills

Special considerations will be given to candidates with:

  • Experience in administration duties preferably in the construction industry.

  • Experience / knowledge of construction plant and equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Downloading and analysing driver and vehicle tacho data

  • Issuing infringement notices to drivers where applicable

  • Give toolbox talks and any other training materials to drivers where necessary

  • Performing 6 monthly driver licence checks and driver eyesight checks

  • Ensuring company maintains the FORS bronze standards

  • Ordering plant and equipment from approved suppliers for sites nationwide

  • Sourcing new suppliers when necessary

  • Keeping a log of where company owned plant and equipment is located at all times

  • Raising invoices for the hire of plant and equipment and haulage

  • Data entry of all hire invoices and logging invoice queries with suppliers
